“MA” stands for room in general but specifically it’s pointing out space to perceive something with your sense. TOTO Gallery “MA” where you meet and can say hello to various type of beautiful products and architecture study. In short if you like architecture, product design or interior I recommend to drop by. The theme at this time was TORAFU ARCHITECTS’s exhibition. I’ve seen their works only on magazine so that this was good opportunity to date back to that time.

The “MA” dominates floor through 3rd to 4th of this building also there is architectural book store in 2nd floor. I think this building is sort of dedicated to architecture you know what I mean.

Say hello to sign after get off at 3rd floor. This gallery isn’t big enough to spend a day but enough to be thinking of creation.

Almost every time I’m telling you if English brochure there is. Yes here it is this time as well.

Looked over the space where called “MA”. Since theme of this time is TORAFU ARCHITECTS, their works have been placed on big flat desk.

I wonder what brought this shape to house model.. The quick answer they say is to get the sunshine every season, this shape has made up and built up. By the way elderly couple is living in real world. Far away from traditional japanese style isn’t it.

I like this type of idea. Re-designing product using other material. In this picture a coat hanger used as leg for chair. Study of combining.

Join-able chairs made of one straight wood that you see behind the person on picture. Adjustable total length of bench is cool but more than that the most is… it’s done by just one material and even the smallest component still has functionality as a chair.

Umm hard to tell you how interesting material it was.. this is transformable metal though…

A simple paper turns container (looks like vase) that one of masterpeace of TORAFU ARCHITECTS.

Let’s move a glance to outside over the window. There is stair on right side taking us to up where playing short-introduction movie about this exhibition.

No reason why I took this picture, just I like this angle of view and proportion. haha.

Here it is. I think this space will be turned into any space depending on theme of exhibition. Having potential!

What I like those themes are they have tons of aspect of creativity in 2D and 3D. Today’s exhibition wasn’t an exception and it got my brain shake up at least a couple.
