I’m happy to tell you this glass museum in this blog finally. I think this museum is an essential element for art and museum person while you’re travelling. The national art center Tokyo won’t you allow just watching, so you’ll want to take photo when you’re in front of this museum like I did.
The facade of this museum in different perspective. The big picture of view was sight to behold.
On the other hand, sometimes the view is changed by annual festival called “Roppongi Art Night”. This picture was taken in period of that festival this year 2018 so when you come within that period, you might be able to catch the different view depending on program of art festival.
Ok, once you walk into, glass wall is wrapping you in seconds. In contrast to facade from outside you can feel the wave over your skin in inside.
Here what I like in this museum is the contrast between mass concrete and glasses. Also I like the shape which is inverted triangle. First time I saw, I couldn’t help saying wow!
Actually there are a couple of mass concrete pillars. Also I want you to see the wave by beautiful glass behind them.
I think you already get noticed the color of glass, but let me tell you again with detail on picture. The color is changing depending on sunlight and it made me shoot photograph many times. One more thing, there is a cafe or restaurant on top of mass concrete. Cool isn’t it?
On the third floor, the pillar standing in order quite neatly and you can see the smooth wave glasses over them.
Once you turn around on third floor, you can find an art library. The museum with art library like this is kind of rare to see. If you look up the same type, maybe it takes time or better to search from relatively big one.
Sun said hello to me over blue sky. Yeah summer is around the corner.
There are many museums in Japan yet it’s rare to see museum like covering wave glasses in this large-scale. I’m glad to tell about this museum because I wanted to put this museum on my blog from the first and finally done. I still remember when I saw this museum first time on some medium and impressed but this time it’s your turn. I’d love you to go when you come to Japan!
