I like beautiful things just because. I rarely meet the opportunity that such a beautiful work around but this time it was. When I entered this gallery with exhibition by Tokujin Yoshioka, I could feel the difference from last time I came to. Filling with slight fog and many spectrum lines were running inside them. Moverover it became several colors and reflected on the floor. That was so beautiful… Yes, before I came in, I had some normal expectations that how looks this gallery will be in this theme. Tuned out, real scene was jumped over thought by far. I’m happy to share my experience with you.
Can you recognize the rainbow color on the floor shooted from the wall over there. It was quite amazed really… It’s as if there is a door to another world. Am I it too much influenced by SF movie? haha
Who can denounce this beautiful atmosphere. I was excited in the silence as taking picture. Of course I sat down the bench that lit up from bottom. The graduation of white light and gray shadow reflecting on the wall…fantastic.
This bench made of transparent material. I think it can be full of glass and looked like it was.
Walking toward to light-source. Bunch of prism were installed on the wall. More close to, more sparkle caught my eyes.
A girl was watching a video which displaying designer’s work process and philosophy. Often this type of video is installed in inmost room regardless of exhibition theme.
Once glance at the wall, there is long long description about author and this exhibition’s theme in English. Gallery or museum where you go in Japan, you will be able to find English nowadays. It might be partial one though.
I’ve been to Shiseido gallery before actually. At that time, my impression was almost the same as what I expected..between you and me. Yet this time betrayed my thought in a positive way. The space structure was quite different from last time’s theme and I realized that this gallery has lots potential to transform to whatever depending on exhibition. Can be super simple or super complex one. Here turned to definitely one of my favorite gallery I’ve ever been to!
