This galley won’t let you down as always

Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery

Something huge, composed of single color, abstracted shapes of humans. You may come up with what I’m going to talk about today. It didn’t take much time to get these huge wall picture from Shinjuku Station. Exhibition for [Julian opie}(https://www.julianopie.com/) had been held at Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. I am not painting person but the thing was different in this case that his works were not only painting. Let’s check it.

Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery

First of all, I’ll tell you my favorite work out of all and this is it. The thin line follows the human outline who has shopping bag and hearing music. this work was fresh to me whereas only have seen painting. When visitors cross walking behind him, I enjoyed the contrast between them.

Watching carps swimming on the wall. This gallery has a long hole way and there are moving art at this time. They were dancing with grace.

I wonder if his strength of art is not only painting. These sheep’s statue seems to made of stone I didn’t touch though. These were sort of fresh to me because I didn’t know about he engaged this type of art.

Almost forgot to taking pictures of ticket and brochure. The brochure for art events tend to have high contrast, it goes for this time as well.

Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery

This wall tells you about the background of this exhibition in English. I think the number of descriptions in English has been increasing recently no matter where to go. Goodisn’t it?

Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery

Today’s last picture is welcome board at the gate. I forgot to shoot sky’s image.. Next time I will.

Actually, this is the second time came here and you can find the article here, you would find how different the interior was. The Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery has relatively huge area for display compare to others that means you’re more likely to see totally different layout each time. Moreover gallery’s entrance is connected directly from the closest station, so way easy to get there regardless of the weather forecast. I wonder what type of design you would meet here.

Any question is welcome. Ask using the comment form below or contact page.
